About
A little about Renee…..
I grew up in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, where my family operated a sporting goods business.
After one year of college at LaCrosse, I married and moved to Washington, D.C. in 1963. I sometimes worked two jobs to put my husband through medical school at George Washington University. I was Assistant to the Vice President of American Finance where I was responsible for all lease negotiations and renewals at our 750 branches. I also attended the University of Maryland for two ½ years.
Our family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1971 where my husband completed two residencies and I worked for a time at Adair Realty in a secretarial capacity. The move to paradise – SARASOTA – occurred in 1975 when my husband began his neurology practice. Sadly, four years later I was widowed at age 37, with three young sons. I have practiced real estate over thirty years and know the area well. I have been an Exclusive Buyer Agent for fifteen of those years.
I earned the coveted GRI designation. Less than 3% of Realtors have earned the (Graduate Real Estate Institute) designation.I also have the ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) designation.
I have lived in and loved Sarasota for almost 40 years and I care about MORE than just Sarasota real estate. I LOVE our community and have been active in several capacities:
Member of the Sarasota County Medical Society Auxiliary
Board of Directors of the Florida West Coast Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Newsletter editor and parent representative for the Florida West Coast Symphony Youth Orchestras.
Past President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Le Chateau Condominium Association.
I am proud to have been a partner in the restoration of a historical building here in Sarasota…The Belle Haven.
I was deeply involved in trying to save another historical structure, the John Ringling Towers and Bickel House. Sadly it was demolished and is currently the Ritz Carlton.
I have been a member of Sweet Adelines International since 1980 and sung with the 1994 International Sweet Adeline Chorus Champions – Toast of Tampa.
My motto is: “IF IT´S OUT THERE….I WILL FIND IT FOR YOU!” When one of my clients loved a particular condominium building but there was nothing listed for sale, I wrote letters to all the owners. One responded and it resulted in a sale of a penthouse in one of the downtown waterfront condominiums. Many times I find properties by speaking to neighbors, who will then tell me about one that may be coming on the market. I sold a $850,000 condominium on Longboat Key by talking to a neighbor.
I make myself available 7 days a week to help you locate property. I´m incredibly honest and treat you like I would a member of my family. My goal is to have you enjoy your “house hunting” adventure and be thrilled with your new home.
